BÁBÁ

Useless & Bogus Things in AM Books (B)

Namaskár,

Táraka Brahma Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti ji has come to this dusty earth and given discourses which are to serve as the dhármika guideline for all human beings. In order for these discourses to fulfill their purpose, they need to be published "As Is", exactly as given by Bábá. Otherwise if mere human beings, with all their imperfections, begin changing the discourses by adding their own additions, then these additions will serve to distort the pure unblemished words of Táraka Brahma.

TP has no clue about the subject matter

For example, on 17 April 1979 Bábá has given the discourse "The History of Ráŕhbhúm", in Kolkata. In that discourse, Bábá has spoken about the grammatical aspects of the Ráŕhii Bengali language. And in that setting, to illustrate the use of the suffix 'ek' [এক্‌] at the end of verbs in Ráŕhii Bengali, Bábá has quoted a poem of Bharatcandra--

Tathástu baliyá Devii dilá baradán,
Dudhe bháte thákibek tomár santán. [Electronic Edition 7.5]

তথাস্তু ৰলিয়া দেবী দিলা বরদান |
দুধে ভাতে থাকিৰেক্‌ তোমার সন্তান || [transcription from audio]

The only reason Bábá has cited this poem, is to illustrate the use of 'ek' [এক্‌] at the verb ending. See in the above poem, the verb 'thákibek' [থাকিৰেক্‌]. Bábá did not discuss the meaning of this poem, and nor does the meaning have anything to do with the subject of Bábá's discourse, which is the use of the suffix ‘ek’ [এক্‌].

It is very painful to see that our Tiljala Publishers are ruining ...

But our Tiljala Publishers have from their own side, printed the English translation of this poem underneath the Bengali version. Bábá did not translate the poem in the discourse, nor did He give any instruction to do so for the published book. This printing of the English translation misleads the readers in a different direction, which Bábá wanted to avoid. But due to ignorance of the subject matter, TP did just the opposite of Bábá’s wishes. And they translated the poem into English. By this approach, they dragged the readers away from the main topic. Because what they have translated, has nothing whatsoever to do with Ánanda Márga ideology. Rather it is a dogmatic poem, the meaning of which goes against AM teachings.

Here is the unnecessary translation TP has printed:

"The goddess Devi granted a boon, saying, 'So be it. Your children will live amidst plenty.'"

So this is one dogmatic poem, conveying the idea upheld by religious Hindus that there are multiple gods and goddesses who give boons to those whom they favor. Bábá had no intention of expressing or highlighting the meaning of this dogmatic poem; He cited it only to illustrate that in Ráŕhii Bengali people append the suffix 'ek' to verbs. By providing the translation, our Tiljala Publishers take the discourse in a completely different direction, misguiding innocent readers by insinuating that Bábá supports the meaning of such dogmatic poems.

It is very painful to see that our Tiljala Publishers translate poems Bábá has given when the meaning has nothing at all to do with Bábá's teachings. The above is only one example; similar examples of poems having irrelevant and dogmatic meanings have been translated by our Tiljala Publishers throughout the published discourses. The irony is that there are hundreds of recorded Hindi discourses yet to be published even the first time. But TP does not publish any of them, hiding under the excuse that they do not have time. And on the other side, by their action it shows they have plenty of time to waste-- they are adding such things to Bábá’s discourses which should not be added. And the nastiness does not end here. Acyutanandji escapes from his publication duties, and runs his website “Right to Life” i.e United States Republican political party agenda, which is a gross misuse of his energy, when Ánanda Márga books are in very bad shape. It shows that he does not have interest in Bábá’s books, rather he has apathy towards them. Otherwise how could he get time to spend all day involved in his private blog on “Right to Life” agenda?

What about other groups of AMPS?

Those who are not aware, “TP” means Tiljala Publications.

What about other factions of AMPS. Are they ok? No, they are equally responsible. Because whatever TP prints, these other factions just reprint it from their own side and append their own name. These other factions do not keep a well maintained publication department. For that reason you see that they are directly selling TP’s books, or are reprinting those very books in their own name and selling them. So in this matter, other factions are equally responsible. So long as these other factions do not come out and express their opinion, it is obvious by their actions that they are 100% in support of the dirty deeds of Tiljala Publications.

Namaskár,
In service to Gurudeva,
Gopal Roy Choudhary

Note: Bábá has given this discourse in Bangla. Those who have deep interest and understand Bangla, if they like they can contact us for the audio.

Note 2: In order to explain the grammar beautifully, Bábá has given more examples along with থাকিৰেক্‌, Bábá has given further examples like ৰললেক্‌, যাৰেক্‌, ৰসিৰেক্‌ in this discourse.

Bábá

Deception in AV-13, by Tiljala

Namaskar,

Thank you for your interest in this important topic that deals with the purity of Bábá's printed books.

Preview
This letter addresses another discourse in which the original language is stolen and covered up As Bangla. The discourse is from the newest English Ánanda Vacanámrtam, AV Part 13, chapter 10.
The letter contains the following points:
1: Please download the sound file so you can better understand this issue (see note 1).
2: The discourse under question and scrutiny is: AV13 "A Yogii Must Certainly Be A Theist".
3: This is a Patna Hindi Discourse, Stolen & Covered Up As Bangla.
4: All should know that Bábá originally delivered the discourse, AV13 "A Yogii Must Certainly Be A Theist," in Hindi on 30 June 1979, in Patna. But the publishers have declared that Bábá spoke in Bangla. That is their deception.
5: FACT: This discourse, "A Yogii Must Certainly Be A Theist", was given by Bábá in Hindi. They translated this discourse from Hindi into Bengali, and then again from Bengali into English—and published that twice-translated English version in the English book, Ánanda Vacanámrtam, part 13, chapter 10, p.82. But Bábá's rule is that translation is to be done directly from the original language, i.e. in this case from Hindi directly to English—which they did not do. So they disobeyed Bábá.
6: The printed and published English discourse does not match up with Bábá’s original Hindi which Bábá Himself spoke. The outcome is that instead of reading Bábá’s original words in direct translation, Márgiis are forced to read a twice-translated version which, due to being translated twice (first from Hindi to Bengali and then Bengali to English), is in great part far from what Bábá actually spoke in Hindi. This occurred due to not following Bábá's rule of translating directly from Hindi to English—and the ramifications of going against this rule are horrific.
7: Be sure to play the sound and carefully review the published discourse.
8: For your reference and confirmation, the sound file containing Bábá’s original discourse has been posted to the blogsite (see note 1). Just by listening to a few words, anyone knowing Hindi can understand that Bábá is speaking Hindi – not Bengali.
9: You can contact any private business translating agency also and confirm with them that in this sound file, Bábá is speaking Hindi and not Bengali.
10: But look what the publishers have written about this very discourse in their Ánanda Vacanámrtam Publisher’s Note:
"A Yogii Must Certainly Be A Theist". Discourse in Bengali. Tape. Originally published in Bengali as “Yogii Avashyai Ástik Haben” in Ánanda Vacanámrtam 13, 1980. First English Publication in Yoga Sadhana, 2010, tr. from the Bengali by Doctor Aditya Kumar Mohanty.
(Ánanda Vacanámrtam, part 13, Publisher’s Note, p. xxii)
So in their Publisher’s Note they are making the bogus claim that this discourse was originally given in Bengali. But this is wrong.
11: This proves that Professor Aditya Mohanty, the so-called translator, is a stooge, and his work is disgraceful. He betrayed Guru by falsifying the entire situation.

12: The purpose of this letter is to make Bábá's printed discourses authentic and dogma-free. This is not a language issue this is an issue of authenticity. The duty of every disciple of Lord Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrtiji is to keep watch on the purity of Guru's printed books.
13: If you are new to this network and you tried but are still not sure how to proceed then let us know. We are ready to help you.

Summary: The discourse "A Yogii Must Certainly Be A Theist" was given by Bábá in Hindi, in Patna. The Tiljala Publishers have printed that it was given in Bangla, in order to falsely make it appear that Bábá gave more discourses in Bengali than any other language. They translated the discourse twice: from Hindi to Bangla, and from Bangla into English—thus straying the English version far away from the Hindi original.

Part One of this letter ends here. In part two, I shall further explain the above points.

Namaskar,
Kanhay Choudhary

Bábá
Distortion Proof: Bengalization of NKS

Namaskár,

In the discourse “Párthasárathi Krśńa and Bhaktitattva” (1), Bábá spoke the below yellow section in Bangla and Hindi. However, our Tiljala Publishers left out this critical section of the discourse.

Proof of Distortion

The following yellow para is the As-Is transcription of Bábá’s voice from NKS-23 (Namámi Krśńa Sundaram) in Bangla and Hindi. But our Tiljala Publishers adulterated and distorted this para. If you search the NKS discourse #23 in any NKS Hindi book, in chapter #23 you will not find these yellow-highlighted ideas. This yellow section talks about Baba’s omniscience. This original passage has been deleted. The question is, why did our Tiljala Publishers not directly print what Bábá said.

Please go and check your Hindi NKS book, discourse #23. You will not find these identical sentences. This is called ruining the discourse.

“As-Is” Transcription of Bábá’s Audio:

[Passage begins at time on audio cassette: 9:58.]

Fix Bábá's Discourses Now or Never

If we remain passive onlookers and do not fix the negative trends of introducing distortion into Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrtiji's discourses—if we do not bring the printed discourses up to the proper standard now—it will become impossible to change this in the future. And even if in future some sincere Ánanda Márgiis will try, they will be treated as enemies. Because this is the way religion works: Today one cannot teach the devotees of Lord Krśńa that He has nothing to do with cows; they will never believe it. In the same way, Ánanda Márgiis will become used to the wrong teachings in our AM books and they will not like to give them up. They will think that whatever was there at the end of the twentieth century, that was the gold standard for all time. And it should be kept and maintained.

Ánanda Má́rga is dharma—not religion—but we will face the same opposition from within to change, when wrong teachings get established.

So we don't have any time: it is either now or never. The clock is ticking: If we do not get Bábá's discourses fixed now, it will be impossible to do so later. And that will cause bloodshed and more division on the basis of the various versions of Bábá's teachings and their explanations. History bears testimony to this, that all the religions have similarly broken into multiple factions, groups and subgroups on the basis of differences in scripture interpretations. Bábá wanted to eliminate such problems, and that is why Bábá's discourses are recorded. But unfortunately, those recordings are not being published properly. This matter is very serious.

Our Tiljala Publishers did not like to print the Hindi sentences, so they removed the Hindi sentences; and then the related Bangla sentences also became useless. So they also deleted those related Bangla sentences. These very lines have been shown in the yellow highlighted section above.

Namaskár,
In His Service,
Kanhaiya Choudhary

Scripture Must Be Universal,
Not Limited by Any Narrow Sentiment

Today our Ánanda Márga scripture is being encroached upon by narrow sentiments, and that will lead to its destruction. The scripture given by Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrti is dharma. It must be saved from limited sentiments at any cost.

Bábá says, "When the sole purpose of scripture, i.e. dharmashástra is to establish the human beings in the stable, exalted position of spiritual ideation, it must be practical, rational, infallible and universal. It must be based on deep eternal truths. It must be áptavákya. A scripture is a guided entity." (3)

Bábá
Distortion Evidence: Bengalization of NKS Hindi

Namaskar,

In the discourse “Vraja Krśńa and Dvaetavada” (1), Bábá spoke the below yellow paragraph in Hindi. However in the Hindi edition of this discourse, our Tiljala Publishers did not print the Hindi “As-Is” words of Bábá; instead they printed concocted words.

Proof of Bengalization

The following yellow para is the As-Is transcription of Bábá NKS-17 (Nammi Krśńa Sundaram) in Hindi. But due to Bengalization, our Tiljala Publishers adulterated and distorted this para. If you search the NKS discourse #17 in any NKS Hindi book, in chapter #17 you will not find these yellow identical sentences. These original Bábá’s sentences are changed. The question is, why did our Tiljala Publishers not directly print what Bábá said in Hindi, in the Hindi edition.

With this Bengalization, everything is ruined. Please go and check your Hindi NKS book, discourse #17. You will not find these identical sentences. This is called Bengalization-- i.e. ruining the discourse.

“As-Is” transcription of Bábá’s audio:

This loss of Bábá’s original words due to BengalIzation represents distortion and veritable ruination of AM holy scripture.

Distortion in NKS Book

BABA

Distortion in NKS Book In H&B Editions

Namaskar,

Baba’s “Namami Krsna Sundaram” (NKS) book discourse #6 (see note 1) has a blunder, which is described below.

Proof of Distortion

Please see carefully the yellow segment below, which is in Bengali. That is what Baba spoke. But it is missing in the Bangla NKS book. And also in the Hindi NKS book.
The below typed para is the As-Is version. And its yellow segment should be situated on the scan, at the location of the red “X” mark-- but it is not. Fortunately, the unhighlighted section in the below para, is present in the book. But the yellow section is missing.

Excerpt from Baba’s Audio transcription-- [audio 4:57] “তখনও দ্রাবিড় ব্রাহ্মণ সমাজ আইয়ার ও আয়েঙ্গার, দুই শাখায় বিভক্ত হয়নি | আয়েঙ্গার মানে “বৈষ্ণব,” আইয়ার মানে “শৈব" | এই চিহ্নের [Horizontal or vertical sandalwood marks on the forehead] দ্বারা মানুষ ৰুঝতে পারৰে | [Baba, gesturing three vertical sandalwood marks] আয়েঙ্গার, বৈষ্ণব | [Baba, gesturing horizontal marks] আইয়ার | সে সময়, এই যে তন্ত্রের বিভাজনগুলো ছিল, কিন্তু এই বিভাজনগুলো সম্যক্‌ রূপ নেয়নি |” [audio 5:35] (see note 2)

Tiljala Publishers Left Section Out of Discourse

As mentioned, the section highlighted in yellow above is missing from the Bengali and Hindi language editions published by our Tiljala Publishers. In the passage, Baba describes how the Aiyars and the Ayengars--two main branches of Dravidian Brahmins-- could be easily distinguished from the distinct style in which each branch decorated their foreheads. Aiyars make horizontal lines on their foreheads, and Ayengars make vertical marks on the foreheads.

Here below is a scan of the Tiljala Publishers’ NKS book discourse #6 page 32 Hindi edn. (see note 3) There is a red ‘X’ marking the place where the missing passage should have been printed.

As mentioned, here above is a scan of the Tiljala Publishers’ NKS book discourse #6 page 32 Hindi edn. (see note 3) There is a red ‘X’ marking the place where the missing passage should have been printed.

It is critically important that everything Baba says in a discourse be printed. Otherwise, if our Tiljala Publishers remove sections of what Baba said, then the printed discourse is not an accurate record. Incomplete records may present a distorted picture of the message Taraka Brahma Baba intends to teach the human beings for all time to come.

If the subject matter present here is unclear, please write us.

Namaskar,
Shefali Dutta

(4) In this letter we are referring to only two editions-- Bangla and Hindi; not any other editions. The central idea is that the Bangla and Hindi editions are faulty. And the Bangla book is treated as the original version, so in the future this distortion will reach everywhere.

For Deeper Understanding:

Discourse Must Be Printed As-Is

Baba says that apta vakya does not undergo metamorphosis or distortion. So if it does get changed or distorted, then it is no longer apta vakya i.e. the word of Guru. It is up to Ananda Margiis to protect our scripture and keep it "As Is"-- the word of Guru.

Will Cause Bloodshed and More Division

History bears testimony to this, that all the religions have similarly broken into multiple factions, groups and subgroups on the basis of differences in scripture interpretations. Bábá wanted to eliminate such problems, and that is why Bábá's discourses are recorded. But unfortunately, those recordings are not being published properly. This matter is very serious.
If we remain passive onlookers and do not fix the negative trends of introducing distortion into Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrtiji's discourses and do not bring the printed discourses up to the proper standard now, it will become impossible to change this in the future. And even if in future some sincere Ánanda Márgiis will try, they will be treated as enemies. Because this is the way religion works.

Today one cannot teach the devotees of Lord Krśńa that He has nothing to do with cows; they will never believe it. In the same way, Ánanda Márgiis will become used to the wrong teachings in our AM books and they will not like to give them up. They will think that whatever was there at the end of the twentieth century, that was the gold standard for all time. And it should be kept and maintained. So we don't have any time: it is either now or never. The clock is ticking: If we do not get Bábá's discourses fixed now, it will be impossible to do so later. And that will cause bloodshed and more division on the basis of the various versions of Bábá's teachings and their explanations.

Vraja Krsna and Vishistadvaetavada, NKS-15 MGD 30 November 1980 Calcutta

In this discourse, our Tiljala Publishers printed the second line of the below shloka, when Baba only spoke the first line.

অসূর্যা নাম তে লোকা অন্ধেন পরিবৃত্ততাঃ |

[তাঁস্তে প্রেত্যাভিগচ্ছন্তি যে কে চাত্মহনো জনাঃ ||] [Baba did not say this second line, but our Tiljala Publishers printed it.]
