Bábá

WE MUST SAVE THESE THREE PEOPLE

Namaskar,
Thank you for your interest in this important topic that deals with the purity of Bábá’s printed books. Our Ananda Marga books are in a state of disarray – if you read carefully you will find mistakes everywhere. The problem is systemic and pervasive. That is the sad truth. The bright side is that if we are aware of the problems then we can come up with the proper solution.

“CONGENIAL FEELING” & “MOMENTUM” NOT SAME

Here is one critical example I wish to bring to your attention of a DMC discourse of 1971 published in Subhstita Samgraha - 10. Here we are presenting the Hindi, Bengali, and English versions. See note 5 for details.

The title of the English discourse is “Momentum and Attraction” and those two terms are used repeatedly throughout the discourse. According to Ananda Marga philosophy, those terms have been aptly used – the discourse is proper.

Now look at the title of the Bengali and Hindi versions. In place of momentum, the term samveda has been used: Sam + veda means congenial feeling. Thus in the Bengali and Hindi versions the title of the discourse is Congenial Feeling and Attraction. And the term samveda is used throughout the entire discourse. This severely misrepresents and undermines Guru’s discourse.

Those who know Bengali or Hindi can easily recognise that the published versions of the discourse do not make any sense. Samveda is not the right term, but it is used extensively throughout the discourse. Yet if fails to convey the proper meaning and instead leads the reader astray.

If you listen to the original audio file, you will see that Baba uses a completely different term. So it is a tragedy that this discourse was ruined in this way. Its backbone has been shattered & broken.

SCANS

Here below are the scans related with the above discussion. Scan #1 is the title and first page of the discourse in Bangla. Scan #2 is the title and first page of the discourse in Hindi, and scan #3 is the title and first para of the discourse in English. Remember, these scans are all of the same discourse, only the language varies. After these scans some very important information has been presented - the story of who was involved in this issue and what happened to them.

Please scroll down to read more - the most important part is below...

FATAL FLAW – HE BLINDLY FOLLOWED DADA

Let’s examine how and why this happened.

Dada Sarvatmanandji cajoled and convinced family acarya Harishankarji to use the printed Bangla version as the base for the Hindi edition. That is how the problem spread.

As many may be aware, family acarya Harishankarji of the Ranchi bhukti was a very respected person who had many plus points, along with one fatal flaw – he blindly followed Dada Sarvatmanandji.

When Ranchi margiis came to know that Harishankarji was producing the Hindi text by translating from the Bengali printed edition, they respectfully requested Harishankarji to ask Sarvatmanandji for the original cassette and not use the Bengali text as the original. They pleaded with him and said, “Do not do injustice with Baba’s divine discourses.” But Harishankarji would only reply, “I have to follow the order of Dada Sarvatmanandji. What Dadaji tells I have to follow.”

LONGING TO GET PURODHASHIP

In his mind, Harishankarji had the longing to get purodhaship. That is why he stuck to and supported Sarvatmanandji’s plan not to use the original cassette and just translate from the Bengali edition. Ultimately, because the Bangla book was wrong that error was transferred to the Hindi edition also. Yet Harishankarji could not be moved; he would not budge. He was adamant about following Dada Sarvatmanandji. And in this way the printed Hindi publications got ruined. Here we are discussing the chapter with the above scans.

SCARY & GHASTLY DEATH OF AC H.

Sadly, prakrti could not tolerate this sin any longer and proceeded along its own course. Here is what happened.

It was the winter season and one morning, per his usual way, Harishankarji started a fire in a metal dish to warm his bedroom. Eventually he sat himself near the fire to keep warm. As fate would have it, he fell asleep and fell into the fire. By the time he realised what happened it was too late. Sadly, his body was savagely burned and he died within a few days time. That is the tragedy – his untimely death.

Maybe Harishankarji was punished by prakrti due to his Bangalisation work of Subhasita Samgraha parts 9, 10, 11, & 12. Instead of transcribing Baba’s original English and Hindi discourses directly from the audio cassettes into Hindi script, those English and Hindi discourses were translated into Bengali books and then retranslated back into Hindi. That is the work that Harishankarji did - thus, by this whole ordeal, he went against the very core of bhagavad dharma.

(Note: If you have the Hindi edition of any of these books, Subhasita Samgraha parts 9, 10, 11, & 12, then you will find that Harishankarji’s name is written on the inside front cover / publisher’s page as being part of the Bangalisation process.)

OUR DUTY IS TO WARN

Ultimately, Dada Sarvatmanandji recruited other people for the task. Thereafter, a similar approach was done by (1) Shrii Pradumanji of Purnea (Bihar, India), (2) Shrii Parmanandji from Basti Dist (Uttar Pradesh, India), and (3) Shrii Gaurishankarji from Arrah (Bihar, India).

At present, these people are following Dada Sarvatmanandji’s command. They are busy in Bangalisation. Instead of referencing the audio cassette and transcribing Baba’s original Hindi discourses directly into Hindi text, they are using the printed Bengali version of the discourse and then translating that into Hindi. This is called Bangalisation. That means that Hindi and English discourses are translated into Bengali and then retranslated  back into Hindi or English.

So these three aforementioned persons are busy in Bangalisation. Our duty is to warn them. Here following are their phone numbers:

Shrii Pradumanji of Purnea: 9661605762

Shrii Parmanandji of Basti Dist: 5542285869

Shrii Gaurishankarji of Arrah: 9431052800

Please contact them and warn them. We must save them lest they too be forced to face the wrath of prakrti. So those who can must inform them. That will be great service to humanity.

Namaskar,
in Him,
Shankar Sharma

Note 1: AUTHENTICITY OF BABA’S DISCOURSE

This is not a language issue; this issue is about the authenticity of Baba’s holy discourses.

Note 2: BRAINWASHED

Dada Sarvatmanandji has brainwashed (1) Shrii Pradumanji of Purnea (Bihar, India), (2) Shrii Parmanandji from Basti Dist (Uttar Pradesh, India), and (3) Shrii Gaurishankarji from Arrah (Bihar, India) by telling them again and again that there is no audio file for these discourses. But that is a lie. It is the same as the restaurant owner who wants to feed you non-veg, then he will repeat over and over again that all the vegetables in the entire city were destroyed by the infestation of salmonella. So you have to eat non-veg.

Note 3: DID NOT DO BANGALISATION TO ALL

Fortunately, there were some books that Harishankarji’s was not able to do. So he could not complete this Bangalisation process with all of the books, but he did ruin Subhasita Samgraha parts 9, 10, 11, 12. Those underwent the process of Bangalisation.

Note 4: MANY FLAWS - NOT ONLY DOUBLE TRANSLATION

The scriptural distortion related with the the Bengali edition of Subhasita Samgraha part 10 - as outlined above - is no the result of a "double translation", rather it was caused by a sloppy job of translation / transcription by the Publications Dept.

Note 5: DETAILS OF THE DISCOURSE

The discourse discussed above is published in Subhasita Samgraha chapter 2 (Hindi and Bengali), while the English edition is published in Ananda Marga Ideology & Way of Life - 11, chapter 3.
