Example of Bangla Nepotism - SS11-9

Namaskar,

Our Tiljala Publishers (TP) have discarded one very significant shloka from our scripture. Please see below, a scan of the book from where the shloka is missing. Please note the section marked with a red “x”. That is where Baba has spoken an important eight-line shloka from the Rgveda.

The discourse is in Subhaśita Samgraha part 11, ch 09, and the shloka is missing from the below section on page 79. (1)

Please see above the scan of Subhaśita Samgraha part 11, ch 09, page 79, with the section marked with a red “x”. That is where Baba has spoken an important eight-line shloka from the Rgveda.

This yellow shloka deleted by TP from SS11

Násadásiinno sadásiittadániiḿ násiidrajo no vyomá paro yat;
Kimávariivah kuha kasya sharmannambhah kimásiidagahanaḿ gabhiiram.
Na mrtyurásiidamrtaḿ na tarhi na rátryá; Ahna na ásiitpraketah.
Ániidavataḿ svadhayá tadekaḿ; Tasmáddhányanna parah kiḿ ca nása.
Tamo ásiittamasá gúŕhamagre'praketaḿ; Salilaḿ sarvamá idaḿ.
Tuchayenábhvapihitaḿ yadásiitta; Pasastanmahinájáyataekam.

Yo asyádhyakśah parame vyoma na; So auṋga veda yadi vá na veda. [Rgveda 10.129] [2]

Conclusion:

In the discourse, just before where the shloka is supposed to be, Baba has given one long poem of Ravindranatha. That Ravindranatha poem our Tiljala Publishers have published in the English edition due to Bangla nepotism. But the Samskrta shloka which follows it has been left out deliberately. This is not an isolated case. Many times we have seen, that even in English TP has discarded the materials of other languages, and printed only the Bangla-related thing.

Namaskar,
In Him,
Sunandá

Please note in the below full-page scan, the section marked with a red “x”. That is where Baba has spoken the important above-noted eight-line shloka from the Rgveda.

See below, the long poem of Ravindranatha which our Tiljala Publishers have published due to Bangla nepotism in SS part 11, ch 9, page 78, English edition. And the Samskrta shloka which follows it on page 79, has been left out deliberately. Please note the section marked with a red “x” on p.79. That is where Baba has spoken the important eight-line Rgveda shloka, which TP left out completely.

Note 2: We Should Fix Bábá's Discourses - Now or Never

If we remain passive onlookers and do not fix the negative trends of introducing distortion into Shrii Shrii Ánandamúrtiji's discourses—if we do not bring the printed discourses up to the proper standard now—it will become impossible to change this in the future. And even if in the future some sincere Ánanda Márgiis will try, they will be treated as enemies. Because this is the way religion works: Today one cannot teach the devotees of Lord Krśńa that He has nothing to do with cows; they will never believe it. Although Ánanda Má́rga is dharma—not religion, but
in the same way as happened with Hindus vis-a-vis Lord Krśńa and the cows, Ánanda Márgiis will become used to the wrong teachings in our AM books and they will not like to give them up. They will think that whatever was there at the end of the twentieth century, that was the gold standard for all time. And it should be kept and maintained.

Ánanda Má́rga is dharma—not religion—but we will face the same opposition from within to change, when wrong teachings get established.
So we don't have any time: it is either now or never. The clock is ticking: If we do not get Bábá's discourses fixed now, it will be impossible to do so later. And that will cause bloodshed and more division on the basis of the various versions of Bábá's teachings and their explanations. History bears testimony to this, that all the religions have similarly broken into multiple factions, groups and subgroups on the basis of differences in scripture interpretations. Bábá wanted to eliminate such problems, and that is why Bábá's discourses are recorded. But unfortunately, those recordings are not being published properly. This matter is very serious.
